The best full service market celebrates 28 years of service in San Bruno with a Grand Re-Opening!

On June 16, 2009, a ribbon ceremony admiring the new state of the art deli, expansion of all departments, the huge bakery, and the addition of Peet’s Coffee to the store was full of excitement!

Lunardi’s Markets started in San Francisco by Italy native Alfredo Lunardi with one family owned store in 1953. Since then, Alfredo and his two sons, Ralph and Paul, opened seven locations throughout the Bay Area. And each of these locations has one fundamental thing in common –consistent concern for the customers.

Lunardi’s produce buyers follow in the footsteps of Alfredo Lunardi and arrive at the Golden Gate produce market every weekday morning at 1:00 am to hand-pick the finest produce available. All meats are of the finest quality and are hand-cut by the fully trained meat department. Their deli accommodates dishes cooked on-site from scratch, and with their own recipes, as if they’re serving their own family.
